Hey there! I’m Anna Rose.

I created Visual Dental Hygiene to help equip students to succeed in their dental hygiene program, profession, and dreams. I’m a dental hygiene instructor at St. Cloud Technical and Community College.  But that is my official title. At home, I’m a mom of three kids, Nathan, Nora and Michael, and a wife to a very patient husband, Rob. I'm a self-proclaimed dork and love Jesus, yoga, and tea in that order. I have a hard time sitting still and I’m constantly working on something. I’m pursuing my passion and find great joy in helping others succeed in their dental hygiene dreams.  

 

I started being the lead teacher in pre-clinic, I was excited to take on the new role and also nervous that I wouldn’t be able to get everything done in one semester. After learning each instrument in clinic, I would require my students to practice what they learned at home. The problem was, they didn’t have an instructor to guide them.  Many students would practice for hours, only to find out they were doing it wrong the entire time. There was no way for me to help them when they were at home.

 

That’s why Visual Dental Hygiene is so important.

 

I want to help students practice instrumentation at home when their instructors aren’t around to guide them.
